Review: Bury Your Dead - Mosh N Roll
BYD is back with a new release with Mat Bruno back in the band after a few years away. Apparently this collaboration was begged for by fans of the band not liking their new style. Listening to this album makes me wonder if this is what they were hoping for. The progression through the album feels like just listening to the same song over and over, which might be acceptable if the same song over and over was worth listening to. Nothing stands out among the tracks, and the description of ‘chainsaw guitars’ is very accurate. However, a chainsaw is not very good at playing different notes and octaves. Vocally, most of Mat’s descriptions involve a F bomb and little else. I wasn’t expecting much from this album, but I wanted at least a little something. Instead, I’ve wasted time too much time on this already. Definitely pass on this album.
